On 03.07.2024 we were mentioned in the digital Health News with reference to the article by Healthcare Startups DACH from 25.06.2024:
The startup uses artificial intelligence (AI) to develop its own multi-marker algorithms that can be used by doctors to diagnose diseases more accurately and earlier and to enable personalized/gender-specific therapies.
The aim is to detect diseases earlier and personalize therapies in order to prevent serious illnesses and reduce the burden on healthcare systems. By focusing on the most meaningful combination of blood values (multi-omics), vital parameters and patient information, AI can provide the most accurate information. The algorithms are to be approved as a medical device (Software as Medical Device - SaMD). The first disease for which Exploris is operating a medical device on the European market is coronary heart disease, which leads to heart attacks.
How does it work? A widely validated, non-invasive test that can reliably rule in or rule out the presence of coronary heart disease (CHD) with the same accuracy as the best imaging procedures, but using easily determinable parameters, and then recommends the clarification steps suggested by the medical guidelines.
The company has generated an algorithm that evaluates basic parameters from blood values, patient information and blood pressure combined and determines whether there is a narrowing of the heart arteries. This algorithm was validated in four studies with over 4,500 patients in Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands and the results were published in peer-reviewed journals. The accuracy corresponded to the best imaging techniques (CT/MRI) and achieved equally good results in women, men, low and high prevalence populations.
The business model consists of selling the Cardio Explorer product to doctors in private practice, hospitals, health centers, occupational medicine and corporate health management (BGM). A distinction can be made between volume and subscription packages. In addition, the test can already be used by selected doctors and clinics (a selection can be found here: https://www.cardioexplorer-checkup.com/#termin-vereinbaren).
